BA-PFI is insulated with 2” thick mineral wool and comes with a 1” flange for an easy flush installation on any type of surface. As per UL and NFPA standards, once the installation is complete and the provided springs are hooked to the back of the panel, the door will be self closing and self locking. The unit is further locked and secured with a self latching tool-key operated slam latch and/or ring operated slam latch, both included.
Meanwhile, our BA-PFN is fire rated by Intertek Warnock Hersey and applicable for use in vertical wall assemblies only. Aside from assisting with fire safety in a building, this access door can contribute directly to a project's ability to achieve LEED certification in new construction and major renovations, schools, and commercial interiors.
